You're Invited: Back to School Bird Bash!

Come kick off the new school year and learn about our magnificent birds of prey!

Join us at the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey on Saturday, August 18 from 10am-12pm. 

This event is free for all ages. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Activities include:

  • Bird Olympics – See how you match up against the bird world’s most impressive athletes! Can you fly your way to Olympic Gold?
  • Conservation Station – Learn what you can do at home to help preserve water and habitat for our feathered friends!
  • Feather me this/Feather me that - An interactive exhibit where kids of all ages can learn about the unique adaptations of different birds’ feathers and what exactly helps them cruise through Florida’s open skies!
  • Birds in Your Backyard - Ever wonder who’s hanging around YOUR feeder? This is your chance to learn the names of some famous local bird residents as well as some rare and occasional visitors!

Did you know that the Audubon Center for Birds of Prey is now available for small weddings, corporate events, meetings and socials? Various price packages are available. Contact Katie for more information.

 

The Center is open to the public and located at 1101 Audubon Way, Maitland, FL 32751. Hours are 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. We are closed to the public on Mondays and Federal holidays.
